Tasting notes 1998

The body still shows all the power it had when it was made. The incomparably smooth tannins are still there, but the passing years have allowed the wine to gain in complexity. Even its colour is shimmering and velvety with its magnificent ruby-red hue and very slightly amber-tinted touches. The bouquet is powerful with hints of cherry and underwood, while the impression on the palate is full, fleshy and very long-lasting. What was a promising wine back in 1998 has indeed become a reference among the great Pomerol vintages, and still has a very long life before it.

Lively rich colour. Dense and rich and lively. The liveliest, possibly best of this flight. Neat and concentrated.
